An example of a static 3D model found in the Architecture – Modern Fountains category.
This is a formed concrete fountain, elegant in its simplicty. Water flows from three upper blocks over weathered bronze plates and splashes down into a long rectangular block basin. This kind of fountain could be located at the entrance to an important building, it might be in a public walking space, or it might be placed in a modern public or private garden.
The water portions of the model consist of six individual pieces, three small waterfall pieces, the water in the lowest basin, splash feet for the water flowing into the lowest basin, and an optional sub-surface splash piece under the largest waterfall. The lowest basin water is disturbed and rippling outward at the points of impact from the two upper flows.
The purpose in making each of the water elements an individual item is to allow you to vary the materials applied to each. For example, the splashes should have a white foam material, and the sub-surface splash elements might be made darker or lighter than the basic water material applied to most of the water. If you wish a windy effect, the largest downward flow might be assigned a water material with a greater amount of noise or striation in it than the water in the other basins.
The concrete structure is UV mapped. The texture set has diffuse, bump and normal texture maps. All are included in the model set.
