The two the buildings to the right are "interiors" only, although they are arranged so that the sliding shoji give out to viewable areas -halls, engawa or stepping stones.

The two buildings to the left are complete buildings and may be viewed from both exterior and interior.

All the buildings are accurate scale model reproductions of actual buildings. Each uses the appropriate measurement system for the period of time in which it originated. All posts and beams or other details are accurately proportioned, and all use the tatami-mat dimensioning system.

Each building uses the correct wood and fiber materials for the building. Some details have been simplified to keep the polygon and vertex count reasonable, but all the models are finely made with softly rounded edges and other detailing. All the shoji and fusuma are moveable.

The product detail pages have more explanations and descriptions. You may download the *.pdf documents for each of the rooms if you wish to look more closely at various renders of the building and read the historical details before purchasing.

All the buildings come with some additional objects such as zaseki (seat cushions), metal or wooden lanterns, vases, painted scrolls, bamboo or other objects that would be typical of such rooms or buildings.
