Katana, "Japanese swords," were developed over millenia, and in their long history, have taken on a rich variety of form, detail and finishing. The supporting equipment for katana also are diverse in detail and styling. The amount of diversity and fine detailing are a critical part of Japanese martial art culture.

"Futeinokatana" means "variable Japanese sword." The name "futeinokatana" is given to this set of katakana products to signify that these products provides a means to honor the diversity and fineness of detail of the Japanese katana and katana equipment.

"Futeinokatana" signifies the changeability of all these components. Each product in this series, (except for the teiregubako or "maintenance kit"), can be re-shaped with morphs and bones, pieced together with alternate parts, re-textured with different woods and lacquer finishes, given different gold-leaf Samurai emblems, or assigned combinations of these changes to create unique katanas and unique katana equipment and props. These kits have been designed so that it is very easy to do this, especially in the Poser program. You can create many different scenes or give unique katakana and katakana equipment to each Samurai figure in a scene, using only this one product set.

These products respectfully present the authentic Japanese katana as well as the furnishings and equipment associated with it. All the work is of ultra-high quality. The katanakake and the tachikake provide respectful places for displaying the sword or swords. The everyday maintenance tools employed by Samurai are also provided.

This page displays the versions for Poser. The following page displays the *.3ds and Vue d' Esprit versions of all but the Futeinokatana.
