An accurate scale model of an existing simple room with a polished wood floor and clerestory-based room lighting.

This room is typical of modern houses that preserve the traditional Japanese aesthetic. This room was designed for reading, studying and quiet forms of entertainment. It is shown here with the Go game and the Autum Bonsai and table, both taken from our Accessories packages.

The model has accurately mapped wooden posts and beams, and floor. There are three paper lanterns along the left wall - whose hardened bamboo and washi paper textures are accurate reproductions of the originals. The room is fully enclosed, save for the clerestory openings. These are framed, but have no glass in them, making them suitable for radiosity lighting.
